Seminar: Moving from Genomic Discovery to Translational Research |
|
The NanoString nCounter platform enables highly multiplexed RNA and DNA profiling, even from extremely limited and degraded samples, such as FFPE tumor slices. A major reason the nCounter® Analysis System has been well accepted in the oncology community is because of its compatibility with Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) specimens. These precious specimens offer enormous potential to further scientific enquiry and accelerate the testing of important hypotheses.
A primer on the underlying technology and performance will be provided, followed by an update on various applications including our new RNA:Protein assay, enabling simultaneous multiplexed RNA and Protein analysis from the same samples. A variety of translational genomics signatures will be discussed, spanning gene expression, gene fusions, and miRNA profiling across various diseases, as well as the chemistry which makes this sort of translation possible.
We have 6 sessions which will be held at MGI, UM, UiTM, UMBI, and UPM.
