The field of melanoma has been transformed by the parallel development of effective immune and targeted therapies. There is now strong evidence of cross-talk between oncogenic signaling pathways in tumors and the anti-tumor immune response, supporting the need for concurrent evaluation of immune and molecular phenotypes in patient samples. Further, there is growing evidence of the heterogeneity of immune and molecular phenotypes between, and even within, tumors.
Examples of studies will be presented in which Digital Spatial Profiling has been used to assess immune and molecular features to make insights into the pathogenesis of melanoma.
